    • Elona Galperin Memorial Fund
Elona Galperin was a bright, beautiful and intelligent 18-year old, just accepted to CWRU when she suffered a cardiac arrest three weeks before starting her studies there. She passed away in 2001 after fighting the complications of the illness for several years.

A gentle soul, kind and compassionate, Elona always felt compelled to help others. After school she volunteered with special needs children. Her dream was to work for United Nations helping people around the world. She also hoped to work for UNICEF during her time in college.

Elona had big plans for Tikkun Olam (perfecting the world) and her studies at Case Western Reserve University were intended to be the first step on this journey. With this in mind her family recently established the “Elona Galperin Memorial Fund” at Chabad of CWRU.
