Rabbi Mendy & Sara with the junior staff at Chabad.
Rabbi Mendy is a home grown talent. “Growing up within the Cleveland Jewish community instilled in me a tremendous sense of pride.” Leaving home for middle school, Mendy learned in respected Chabad yeshivos around the world. After receiving his Rabbinical ordination in Rabbinical College of America, Mendy served rabbinic internships across the globe.
From her beginnings in Vienna, Austria, Sara knew she wanted to contribute to the future of Judaism. After completing her higher-level education in Israel and Vienna, Sara worked as a program director in Chabad House in New Jersey.
Before moving to Cleveland, the Alevsky's lived for a short while in Shanghai, China, to be the Jewish presence during the Worldfair Expo 2010. After their return & the birth of their oldest, Chaim, Mendy joined JEM and became the lead interviewer of the Rebbe archives project.
A year and another child later, Mendy & Sara together with Chaim and Zalman, moved to Cleveland as shluchim of the Rebbe to CWRU. Mendy, Sara and their children can’t wait to greet you personally at CWRU.
